Adolescents

Therapy for adolescents is designed to build resilience by equipping them with the skills and resources necessary to navigate life’s challenges. I work with teens to help them regulate their emotions and behavior while fostering personal growth, independence, and self-confidence.

Through therapy, I assist in managing and reducing symptoms related to depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, school avoidance, ADHD, learning difficulties, eating disorders, anger and self-regulation challenges, adjustment disorders, oppositional or defiant behavior, social skills difficulties, and sleep issues. I also provide support for those coping with trauma, adversity, family transitions, identity concerns, and life changes.

My primary goal is to help  adolescents become responsible, thoughtful decision-makers who are confident in their abilities, secure in their identity, and effective in their relationships. Therapy is tailored to the individual’s unique needs and often includes collaboration with family members to improve parenting skills, family dynamics, and overall relationships, which contribute to the child’s well-being.

The process begins with an initial 15-minute consultation to discuss concerns and goals, followed by an assessment period to better understand adolescent's  needs. Sessions are typically 50 minutes long, held weekly, and focus on strategies to enhance emotional regulation, self-awareness, and behavioral growth.
